Building condition certificate

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Certificat etat immeubleCertificat etat immeuble

A building condition certificate is a document that can be compared to a detailed health check of your building at a specific time. This inspection aimed at comprehensively assessing the general condition of the building (roof, facade, electricity, plumbing, ventilation, insulation, etc.) aims to identify deficiencies and make the necessary recommendations to repair and prevent dangerous conditions. It is also strongly recommended to complete the building condition certificate with a study of the contingency fund for a complete financial strategy of the co-ownership and thus avoid erroneous allocations that could undermine the budgetary management of the co-ownership. In addition, it should be noted that only architects, technologists and engineers are authorized to establish a building condition certificate.

By following the recommendations listed in the building condition certificate, managers can extend the useful life of building components and therefore save money in the long term for the sound and optimal management of their assets.
